Hamas depends on foreign aid of all kinds. A lot of it comes from Iran. Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei says Tehran had no role in the Hamas terrorist attacks at the weekend. At the same time Khamenei praised the operation as an irreperable military and intelligence defeat. Iran and Hamas share the declared aim of destroying Israel.
