India’s Tiger Kingdom | Asia’s Wild Secrets | National Geographic Wild UK
Tigers are the largest wild cat in the world with nearly 60% of the world’s wild tigers inhabiting India’s national parks and reserves. These hunters are easily recognised by their iconic coat of reddish-orange with dark stripes. These powerful carnivores need three elements to thrive in the wild: prey, cover for hunting, and water and will fight against each other to gain a prime territory. They will go to the extent of travelling several kilometers during India’s long dry months when small water holes evaporate in order to feast on their prey and will stop at nothing to win in combat.
