Fox’s Sunday night animation block features some of the longest running shows on network TV, and Bob’s Burgers has been a hit since 2011. The low-key comedy focuses on the Belcher family and their lives at work and home, but the original pitch for the show was a lot different. Creator Loren Bouchard had previously created Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil, and he planned for Bob’s Burgers to be a dark comedy in the same vein.
