Over the course of 12 seasons a little burger stand in an unnamed seaport town probably in New Jersey has become everyone’s favorite restaurant without ever having served a real burger. Well, except when there was briefly a set of promotional popup restaurants. The quirky little greasy spoon is run by the Belcher family who navigate childhood and small business ownership around a colorful cast of characters including regular Teddy and cross street rival Jimmy Pesto and his pizza parlor. After 12 seasons the show created by Home Movies creator Loren Brouchard will be getting the big screen treatment with the feature length movie hits the big screen in May. When they do they’ll take with them a breadth of inside jokes and running gags as well as the sensibilities that has made the show a legend over the last decade surviving where few other animated series might not. Bob, Linda, Gene, Tina, and Louise have managed to inspire a fanbase beyond just a favorite show inspiring people to create their own segments, record professional covers of the songs, or even catalog recipes suggested by the burger of the day. The seaside town and its characters should provide a cornucopia of fun when played 30 feet tall. What are you looking forward to seeing on the big screen? Are you hoping to figure out what’s up with Louise’s bunny ears? Let us know in the comments and while you’re there be sure to like and subscribe for the latest in your inbox. Thanks for watching!
