Iran's Revolutionary Guards fired ballistic and cruise missiles on Tuesday during war games in the Gulf.
State TV reported to have destroyed a target "with 100 percent precision".
These war games come amid heightened tensions with the United States and Israel over possible Israeli plans to target Iranian nuclear sites.
"The use of ballistic missiles by the Revolutionary Guards' navy is a new concept ... and they hit their targets with 100% precision," Guards chief General Hossein Salami told the broadcaster.
Iran says its ballistic missiles have a range of 2,000 km (1,200 miles) and are capable of reaching arch-foe Israel and U.S. bases in the region.
On Monday, Iran warned of a "crushing" response to any move against it by Israel, which opposes efforts by world powers to revive Tehran's 2015 nuclear deal and has long threatened military action if diplomacy fails to prevent it from acquiring a nuclear bomb. Iran says its nuclear ambitions are peaceful.
Israel is widely believed to be the only Middle Eastern country with a nuclear arsenal.
The exercises also included the simultaneous firing of five cruise missiles and the launch of armed drones capable of hitting two targets each, Iranian media reported. The five-day drills began on Monday.

Iran's military continued into a second day of drone exercises on Thursday (August 25), state media reported.
Footage showed various types of drones being launched and dropping munitions on desert targets.
The two-day drills were reported by state TV to involve 150 drones and cover Iran's Gulf coast and most of its territory. The country's air-defences and "electronic warfare" capabilities were also to be tested against mock enemy drones.
The exercises come amid U.S. fears Iran could supply drones to Russia for use in the conflict in Ukraine. The United States said earlier this month that Russian officials were being trained in Iran as part of an agreement on the transfer of drones between the two countries, and accused Tehran of planning to supply hundreds of unmanned aircraft to Moscow for use in Ukraine.

Iran has said it has evidence that last week's attack on the Revolutionary Guard was planned inside Pakistan.
Pakistan has denied the attack was planned from its territory and offered to cooperate with Iran.
But the Iranian military is demanding Pakistan crack down on the group responsible, Jaish al Adl, and has warned that if Pakistan does not take action, it may do so itself.

The Iranian defence ministry says it has foiled a drone attack on a military facility in the city of Isfahan, with one drone destroyed by air defence systems two were caught by "defence traps".
The devices caused minor damage to a building but there were no casualties, the ministry added.
The extent of damage to the site has not been confirmed by the BBC, and there has been no immediate claim of responsibility.

US forces have killed Iran's top general in a drone airstrike on Baghdad airport - an attack that marks a dramatic escalation of tensions with Tehran.
Iran immediately threatened a "crushing revenge" for the assassination in Iraq of Major General Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran's elite Quds Force and spearhead of Iran's spreading military influence in the Middle East.
The Pentagon confirmed US forces had killed the general, a revered figure in the region.

Iran's Supreme Leader has promised a “harsh response” following two explosions in the country's south. The death toll has now been revised to at least 84. The blasts happened near the grave of top general Qassem Soleimani. Mourners had gathered for a ceremony marking four years since his assassination by the United States in a drone strike. The US has denied carrying out the attack in Iran and says it has seen no evidence of Israeli involvement.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Lebanon-based Hezbollah militia has promised retaliation over the killing of a top Hamas official in Beirut on Wednesday. Hezbollah blames Israel for the attack, although there has been no claim of responsibility. Israel generally doesn't comment on strikes in other countries, but officials have previously said they would target Hamas leaders wherever they are. Hamas is classified as a terrorist group by multiple countries.
